Local and national rescue services rely heavily on donations of
time, energy and money from people who are willing to assist and
rescue dogs nationwide. The goal of every rescue service organization
is to provide a stable home life for a dog, because it has already
lost one home, and for some dogs maybe more. If a dog ends up
in a shelter, there can be numerous reasons for this and not necessarily
just because the dog was difficult or bad. Experience and awareness
has taught me that a dog ends up in a shelter largely because
the buyer did not ask enough questions and was not sufficiently
educated to properly select the right breed type for their lifestyle.
Occasionally, the seller was not discriminating enough in selling
the dog. It's as simple as that. As you already know, the buyer
needs to understand the dog's needs and must be willing to give
the dog a safe and loving quality of life. The seller's main responsibility
is, placing the life they helped to create in the best home possible.
Majestic Joy Papillons participants in the rescue efforts of the PCA (Papillon Club of America) as we recognize our obligation to society and this wonderful breed. We are dedicated in to the rescue efforts of the PCA both nationally and locally by being available to foster dogs when needed. We also participate in the PCA Rescue Angel program. For a minimal donation ($20), anyone can be a Angel to a rescued Papillon. These donations help with the expenses and care of the dogs while they are waiting an assigned permanent and loving home. You can read more about the Angel program, and other helpful reading at the PCA website, http://www.papillonclub.org/rescue/ . It's a valuable site with meaningful information regarding all aspects of rescue, fostering and adoption. Also included in this site are some adoption success stories for your review. This web site has a unique opportunity for everyone to help Papillons that are in need.
