5/27/2003 Hi
I live in the UK. there are hardly any breeders. here. its taen us three months to find a papillon available...but we've found one! We just have to wait another 10 weeks until we can bring her home. She is a red and white bitch and I can't wait!
But patience is the key. it might take a long time to find the perfect dog, but when you do, I bet it'll be worth it.
good luck to those searching for their perfect pup Bee <->

5/12/2003 Hi, I just found this site and I really like it. I have a 7 year old papillon and I must say that your description of the dog is good. He is always friendly and ready for action. We can take several hours walk and he can run beside the bike, but he never seems to get tiered! And he is so intelligent. People that meet him sometimes find it hard to understand he is a dog, hi is cute like a dog but smart as a human. That's why I think you only should buy a papillon if you are willing to stimulate it both physically and mentally. My papillon never gets tiered of learning new trix and stuff. 5/6/2003 We have had our papillon for almost a year. I just can't tell you how much joy she has brought to us. Zoe was almost 2 years old when we adopted her but she was part of our family the minute she walked in the door. If you have read the book "Memoirs of a Papillon" by Genevieve...Zoe has the same parents! We are considering a second papillon and your site anwered many of our questions. Thank You!

4/2/2003 I came upon this site while trying to make up my mind about what kind of dog I wanted. This site is the most extensive site on a breed that I have seen yet. I wish there were sites this extensive for every breed. It would be so much easier for prospective dog owners to make a wise decision. Great Job!

3/27/2003 I have a Papillon, wonderful little dog but very sharp with strangers. He came from kennel Technique Inc. 660th St. Harlan Ia 51537. I was told he came from a good breeder but now I think he came from a puppy mill. As they have many other breeds. I wouldn't part with him for anything but wonder what I can do to help this problem. He is a year old and we got him when he was about four mo. but they told us he was younger. We found out when we got his papers. Love your web page.

11/19/2002 Hi,
I was wondering why some papillon puppies have their ears down, and others have their ears perched up. Do some papillons permanently have their ears down, or is this simply because they have not had their ears perched yet by some sort of surgery? For example, the "july" pups seem to have their ears down on your website under "puppies".
Thanks, Andrea

11/15/2002 Hi! I live in northern Illinois, 20 miles outside of Chicago, and was wondering if you had any upcoming litters which you would be interested in selling a pup from. If not, it would be great if you could tell me if you know of reputable breeders in northern Illinois, or any other area in the midwest, who have upcoming litters.
Thanks, Ashley

11/9/2002 Your site is very informative! I loved looking at the pictures of your pets. I was looking for a site just like yours which would tell me the diseases that the breed is prone to. That is very important when thinking of purchasing a new dog. It is good to see someone as dedicated to making a good life for all they bring into the world. Some breeders seem to "mill out" puppies for the money and I am glad to see that you are not that way.

10/29/2002 As a papillon lover & owner (7 years), I visit pap sites frequently - I love looking at the pictures and reading about papillon behaviors! Your website is by far the best I've visited! Thanks so much for the wealth of information that you have taken time to post! It is most appreciated!
I wonder if you would be able to answer a question for me. My pap is was a rescue pap - he certainly fits the "he's so darn cute" example but I hear equally as often "what a BEAUTIFUL dog" - even from folks that recognize what a papillon is (which is pretty rare down here in Florida). My question is with regard to his color - my vet identifies his color as Fawn & White - your website is the only one in 7 years that I've found that had pictures of paps anywhere close to his color - your sables most nearly resemble his color - Is sable rare? His sable is actually lighter than those even in your pictures - The puppy Tex looks pretty close. Our Moose is totally sable & white - not one darker, red, or black hair anywhere. The sable color on his head is several shades lighter (almost cream colored) than the sable on his back. he does have the white symmetrically in the center of his head and the color goes all the way across his ears (both back and front). Guess I'm just curious - also, as time marches along, I had hoped to locate a source where I can secure another pap at some point in the future, preferably sable rather than tri-colored or black & white.
Once again, thanks for a great website! My husband & I are one of those families that had tried so many different kinds of dogs - the experience was always less than acceptable. Quite by chance, we acquired "Moose" when he was just 9 months old - it has been a perfect fit - he has completely won our hearts - and completely shares our lives. He travels everywhere with us - across the country each year either by air (as my carry-on) or by car. The only thing he requires (besides adequate care) is lots of love and affection - and he prefers to be with us - regardless of where we are. I agree with you that paps are not incessant barkers (contrary to other claims I've read) - the only time he won't stop with the "announcing bark" is the mailman's daily visit - Moose takes seriously his daily challenge to drive the mailman off the premises!
If you have any ideas about his color, I'd appreciate any that you can share with me.

10/16/2002 My little Mitzi, 3 1/2 months old is a real joy in my life. She has a wonderful personality. I chose a papillon because I learned that they make wonderful therapy dogs and that is something I have always wanted to do. When she is a year old, she can take the test, after which she can visit people in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living centers, etc. The website is great. I learned more about my papillon and may get another one.
